Open House Latrobe 2026

Open House Latrobe is a design festival focused on Latrobe’s architecture, industry and cultural identity. Its program spans walking tours, building tours, site tours, talks, exhibitions, workshops, audio tours and a symposium, with themes including industrial heritage, energy transition, cultural institutions, civic spaces, natural environments, sustainability, First Nations perspectives, heritage and history, and art and culture. The event is designed for local communities, visitors, families, design-interested audiences and people seeking to understand how built and natural environments shape Latrobe’s past, present and future.

Presented by Open House Melbourne and Latrobe City Council, the program involves sites and organisations including ARC Yinnar, EnergyAustralia Yallourn Mine, Foodbank Victoria Community Food Centre, Gippsland Performing Arts Centre, Latrobe Regional Gallery, Latrobe Valley Maltese Museum, Morwell Innovation Centre, PowerWorks Energy Education Centre, Gippsland Water, and Yinnar and District Historical Society and Museum. The “Collective Energy: More than talk” stream centres on local voices and conversations about the Latrobe Valley’s history, transformation and future.
