Last updated 6 November 2025.

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Arquidyne Haus. By submitting content to our journal, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the following terms and conditions governing all community submissions. Please read these terms carefully before submitting your work.

Eligibility and scope

Community submissions to Arquidyne Haus are open to individuals aged 18 years or older. Submitted content may include, but is not limited to, written articles, images, drawings, photographs, graphics, plans, diagrams, audio, and video files related to architecture, design, and the built environment. Corporate and institutional entries must be authorised by a duly appointed representative.

Grant of licence

By submitting content, you grant Arquidyne Haus an irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, fully transferable and sub-licensable licence to use, reproduce, publish, display, edit, adapt, modify, distribute, create derivative works from, and otherwise exploit the content, in whole or in part, via any media or channel, now known or later developed. This includes, but is not limited to, our websites, social media pages, print or digital publications, promotional materials, and syndication partners.

Originality and rights

You warrant that all content submitted is your own original work and does not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party. Where content incorporates material owned by others, you confirm you have obtained all necessary permissions and licences for its use and distribution by Arquidyne Haus as described in these terms.

Publication and editorial rights

Submission of content does not guarantee publication. Arquidyne Haus reserves the right to edit, adapt, crop, translate, or otherwise modify any content for clarity, grammar, style, length, or legal compliance at our sole discretion. We may elect to remove published submissions at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

Contributor warranties

By submitting material for publication, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the full legal right and authority to grant the rights described in these terms;
  • Your content is accurate, not misleading, and does not contain defamatory, unlawful, obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable material;
  • The content is free of viruses, malware, or any code intended to damage or adversely affect any hardware, software, data, or system;
  • Where applicable, all identifiable individuals depicted in images or recordings have given their written consent for use and publication.

Credits and authorship

You are responsible for providing accurate credit information at the time of submission. While Arquidyne Haus endeavours to credit contributors appropriately, we cannot guarantee the format, placement, or frequency of attribution. Failure to provide correct credits at the time of submission may result in omission or inaccuracy for which Arquidyne Haus is not liable.

Notification of claims

Should you become aware of any threatened or actual claim relating to the content you have submitted, including alleged infringement of third-party rights, you must notify Arquidyne Haus in writing as soon as possible and provide full details. You agree to cooperate fully with us, at your cost, in responding to or defending any such claim.

Waiver of moral rights

To the extent permitted by law, you irrevocably waive all moral rights (including the right of attribution and the right to object to derogatory treatment) in your submission, and consent to any act or omission by Arquidyne Haus or our licensees which may otherwise infringe any such moral rights.

Contributor mailing list

All project contributors will be added to our contributors mailing list, where we share periodic updates, calls for submissions, and news from the Arquidyne Haus community. You may unsubscribe at any time—simply use the link in any newsletter or request removal when submitting.

Privacy and data collection

Arquidyne Haus collects and processes your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By submitting content, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data for the purposes of administering submissions and any related editorial or legal requirements.

Indemnification

You agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless Arquidyne Haus, its officers, staff, and affiliates from and against any and all losses, liabilities, claims, demands, damages, expenses, and costs (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms and Conditions, including any claim that your submission infringes third-party rights.

No guarantee of publication or compensation

Submission of content does not guarantee publication. Arquidyne Haus is under no obligation to publish, use, or exploit your submitted content. No fee, compensation, remuneration, or reward shall be due with respect to any submission, regardless of whether or not it is published, unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing.

Changes to terms

Arquidyne Haus reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The terms in effect at the time of each submission will govern that submission. We recommend reviewing these Terms and Conditions prior to each submission.

Severability

If any provision or part of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or other competent authority, that provision or part-provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to ensure its validity, legality, and enforceability. If such modification is not possible, it shall be deemed deleted, and the rest of the terms will remain in effect.

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Western Australia, Australia. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia and waive any objections to the venue of any proceedings in these courts.
