G8A Architects is an international architecture and urban planning practice with offices in Geneva, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore. The firm is directed by Grégoire Du Pasquier, Manuel Der Hagopian, Laurence Savy and Tan Nguyen, and traces its origins to group8, a Geneva architectural collective founded in 2000. Its Asian presence began with the establishment of the Hanoi studio in 2007, followed by the formation of an independent G8A partnership in 2014. The practice operates across European and Asian contexts, with a particular emphasis on dense urban settings and tropical environments.

The firm provides services across architecture, urban planning, landscape, facilities and interior design. Its portfolio includes housing, workplace, industrial, education, civic, commercial and masterplanning projects for public agencies, municipal bodies, institutional clients, developers, technology companies, manufacturers and private organisations. G8A’s work is often concerned with the relationship between built form, climate, community and long-term adaptability, especially in contexts where rapid urbanisation places pressure on infrastructure, housing and public space.

G8A’s design approach is socially responsive, environmentally engaged and contextually driven. Its international multidisciplinary team works between Eastern and Western perspectives, using creativity as a method for addressing complex urban and climatic conditions. The practice frequently applies passive environmental strategies such as natural ventilation, shading, daylight access, planted façades, landscape integration and soft mobility networks. In Vietnam and Singapore, its projects also draw on local spatial and cultural models, including village structures, shared spaces and climate-responsive forms of collective living.

Notable projects include Punggol Waterway Terraces in Singapore, completed for the Housing and Development Board with AEDAS, and recognised as a benchmark for sustainable mass housing and social cohesion. Jakob Factory in South Vietnam, developed with rollimarchini for Jakob Saigon Ltd, remains a reference point for tropical sustainable architecture through its use of vertical densification, passive design and a planted façade supporting naturally ventilated manufacturing halls. Other significant work includes Infinity Village in Hanoi’s Hoa Lac High-Tech development zone and the International Organization for Migration headquarters competition in Geneva. Recent recognition includes G8A being named Architect of the Year at the 2025 Ashui Awards, where Infinity Village was also named Building of the Year and Green Building of the Year.
