Jakob Rope Systems
Organisation
Jakob Rope Systems is a fourth-generation Swiss family business founded in Trubschachen in 1904, now operating internationally as a supplier of fibre ropes, wire ropes, stainless steel nets, hoisting and lifting technology, and related engineered solutions. Its products, including Webnet stainless steel mesh, wire ropes, end fittings, frames, GreenSolutions, textile slings, chains and Habegger rope hoists, are used across architecture, construction, industry, forestry, sport and leisure, playgrounds, zoos, bridge infrastructure, façade greening and safety applications. The company supports these markets with consultancy, planning, engineering, production, assembly, installation, splicing, maintenance, inspections, training and equipment rental, combining manufactured systems with project-specific technical support. Its approach emphasises traditional rope craftsmanship, innovation, quality, aesthetics, functionality, corporate responsibility, and ecological and social sustainability. Jakob Rope Systems exports to more than 50 countries, handles around 25,000 orders annually, reports approximately CHF 46 million in Jakob Group sales, and maintains production in Switzerland alongside wire-rope-net manufacturing in Vietnam, where a second factory opened in 2019 with a focus on sustainable industrial architecture.
