Peter Bennetts Photography
Photographer
Peter Bennetts is a St Kilda, Melbourne-based architectural photographer working across architecture, interiors, landscape architecture, design, advertising, documentary and corporate photography, with Australian and international projects dating from 1997. His clients include architects, designers, publishers, cultural institutions, universities, government bodies and major corporate organisations, with commissions for practices and organisations such as John Wardle Architects, HASSELL, Woods Bagot, OMA, Zaha Hadid Architects, the City of Melbourne and Architecture Australia. His practice uses a direct, design-focused photographic approach to capture the formal, material and atmospheric qualities of built environments, alongside a sustained interest in environmental issues informed by earlier reportage work in places including Tuvalu. His photography has been published in Architecture Australia, Artichoke, Belle, Vogue, Wallpaper*, Frame, Dwell, Domus and Casabella, and in books including monographs, the Phaidon Atlas of Contemporary World Architecture and Urban Sanctuary – The New Domestic Outdoors. Bennetts’ work has received recognition from the Melbourne Advertising & Design Club, contributed to the ASLA award-recognised book New Conversations with An Old Landscape, and is held in collections including the National Gallery of Victoria, the United Nations and the Corning Glass Museum.
