Cast Studio

Cast Studio is a Fremantle, Western Australia-based architecture practice, formerly David Barr Architects, focused on architecturally considered homes, multi-residential housing and selected commercial projects. Its portfolio spans bespoke private residences, family homes, social and affordable housing, multi-residential developments, and hospitality-related projects, including taverns and breweries. The practice serves private clients, communities, developers and commercial operators, positioning architecture as a collaborative process shaped by each client, site and context rather than a fixed house style. Its values centre on open, diverse, and inclusive practice; strong partnerships with clients, consultants, and communities; and sustainable design, including a commitment to carbon neutrality. Cast Studio has received industry awards and publication recognition for residential and multi-residential projects, including the Gen Y Demonstration Housing Project, Marine Residence, King Residence, and Claremont Residence.
