Australian Urban Design Awards 2026

The Australian Urban Design Awards 2026 recognise exemplary urban design projects that help build and sustain Australia’s urban communities. Centred on the performance of cities and the quality of life of communities, the program highlights contributions and innovations that address cultural, social, physical, environmental and ecological considerations, as well as health, community and economic impacts. The awards are framed around sharing what constitutes good urban design nationally and providing insights into intelligent, place-focused interventions across a range of scales.

Co‑convened by the Australian Institute of Architects, the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects and the Planning Institute of Australia, the awards are supported by principal partner Bondor Metecno, supporting partner Dulux, and media partners ArchitectureAu and Landscape Australia. The event is directed at professionals and stakeholders in urban design and city building, including architects, landscape architects, planners and related disciplines, and functions as a sector-wide platform for recognising leading practice and fostering a national network of urban design practitioners and advocates.
