2026 Design Inn Symposium

The Design Inn Symposium focuses on the future of hotel design, with core themes including the evolution of public spaces, the integration of artificial intelligence in architecture and interiors, experiential art, wellness in hospitality, lighting design, and developments in food and beverage environments. The symposium attracts a broad spectrum of professionals from the hospitality design sector, such as general managers, asset developers, lighting designers, hotel operators, and owners.

A highlight of the programme is the keynote address by Rebecca King, Founder of Antica Projects and former Vice-President of Design at Starwood Hotels, who will discuss strategies for shaping Brisbane's global identity ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games. The event also features masterclasses led by Comcater and Studio All, and concludes with the presentation of the Australasia-Pacific Hotel Design Awards. By combining forward-looking dialogue on design trends with industry recognition, the symposium provides a comprehensive forum for exploring innovation and best practices within hospitality design.
